How is renting a privately-owned condo different from staying at a
hotel?
A condo will probably be far less
expensive, by as much as half as a hotel in a comparable location.
You'll generally have more living space in the condo, and the property
will be more private--fewer crowds and less traffic in and out. You'll
make your reservation and payment arrangements with the owners, and you
won't have to "check-in," just go to the condo and let yourself in. You
won't have daily housekeeping, though. And if there are problems, you'll
have to contact the owners by phone. How do we pay?
You
can pay by personal check, money order, VISA or MasterCard. A security deposit of $200 is
due when you reserve your vacation (refundable within 14 days after your
departure if there is no damage). Half the rental amount is due 60 days
before arrival, the balance 14 days before arrival.
Are there any extra fees?
There's a 9% Florida tax. Housekeeping is included
in your rental fee. You must buy your own food and paper products, which
can be obtained locally.
How do we make a reservation?
After checking our
availability calendar, contact
the owners, Jim and Judy Luger, toll free at (888) 925-3901 or
email us. We will email a rental
agreement to you, and as soon as we receive your signed copy and
security deposit, your vacation time will be confirmed.
How do we get a key?
Two sets of keys will be mailed to you
after final payment. After you depart, you can mail them back in a
mailer we will provide. If you are expecting mail while you are there,
please let us know in advance so we can send you a mailbox key.
What about housekeeping?
The unit will be in "move-in" conditions when you
arrive, and will be cleaned after you leave. Housekeeping any other time
can be arranged at a rate of $60, including laundering of the linens and
towels.
Where can we do laundry?
There are coin-operated washers and dryers on the
first floor of the building. If you don't have enough quarters, you can
get them at the Bank of American across the street in the shopping
plaza. There's also an ATM there.
How do we check in?
Because we are renting our condo directly, just go
to the unit, let yourself in and make yourself at home. You need to
register at the main office on the ground floor of Building B when the
office is open (Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4 pm). You'll get a
parking permit if you have a car, and you can get combinations to the
tennis court lock and the shuffle board and horseshoe equipment lockers.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer a discount of $120 per month for stays of one month
or longer during winter months. Our prices are already discounted during
the summer.
Have hurricanes damaged your property?
Thankfully, our property has never been damaged by a hurricane. The
hurricane season is during late summer, and ends in November.

mile north on the bay side.)
